It was a thrill to kick off “Wanderlust: Improvised Tales of Travel, Love & Longing”, last weekend with Claire Biddiscombe, the ensemble, and tech crew. Congratulations Wayward Improvised Theatre on this exciting and spontaneously dramatic mainstage production
Wanderlust is a fully improvised road trip across Canada—funny, heartfelt, and different every night
As with most engaging theatrical experiences, its better if you’re there yourself, but here are three highlights:
Amazing dramatic tension between two masters of the craft
Claire and I play well together, especially we’ve found, when there’s a wedge between our characters
An ethereal ensemble setting up the stakes and the environmental mood
They created amazing stage pictures and gave us wonderful gifts of locations and scenarios to unpack the emerging rift between us
Captivating lighting and music intensifying the moment
The audible gasps from the audience as the lights and music changed, focusing the visuals or easing the tension

The next duo is Krystal and Sam and I can’t wait to see where they go. Get your tickets today! April 25 7pm Arts Court, Ottawa
