Improve your confidence in disrupting anti-Black racism through an interactive, 3 hour workshop with Velvet Wells

This workshop will take place on October 19th from 1-4pm, at TheGrove613 Studio in Hintonburg. It is free and open to people who have lived/living experience with racial exclusion and discrimination, aged 18 and up.
This workshop is specifically designed for community members who have encountered or endured comments and behaviours in public settings and in the workplace that are rooted in anti-Blackness*. Practicing Bystander Intervention Strategies through applied improvisational exercises, we will experientially practice disruption methods that move individuals beyond freeze or fawn reactions. This isn’t a sit and watch space! We’ll give everyone opportunities to try it out!
