Stay tuned for the update about my March whereabouts (shows, workshops, and a festival!) But first, a quiz for you

You’re right!
I got to reconnect again with (online) friends as well as meeting some new people, and that was my number one priority. I got into town early/left late so I could relax while being a guest of the city. Like Ottawa, there are distinct neighbourhoods, some good eats, some greenery, and it’s on the water. Their transit system is superior but that’s no surprise.
I got to guest with the infamous Block Party at BlakWater House — they love short form too! It was fun pivoting to different rulesets and play styles, and most importantly, to be in front of a Black audience again. They made me laugh! And, I launched my first live demo of “WordPlayFight” at the Charm City Meadworks. Highwire Improv has given me virtual space to play with it and I was ready to try it offline. Performers and audience members enjoyed the light hearted sparring nature of the set, so I look forward to further workshopping and experimenting with it. I also got to lead a related workshop strengthening and twisting the way we approach games.
If you’re looking for a place to watch/perform improv, consider a visit to Baltimore. Highwire Improv and Baltimore Improv Group are the two names I know, but like Ottawa, there are many groups around. Enviably, they have Cake Walk Comedy

For those who want grumbles, here’s two: The unhoused situation is tough down there, especially seeing how many Black people are impacted. Not having a data package when travelling is literally disconnecting — while good for relaxing, it’s frustrating when trying to make plans and trying to find your way around a new-to-you city
